Gnarley Charley was back in Pavones this past week ripping up the waves. Gnarley Charley runs ‘Gnarley Charley’s Surf Series’ in Florida. He also ran into Bethany Hamilton out at the Pavones point.
Bethany Hamilton is an American surfer that survived a shark attack that bit off her left arm. Instead of giving up surfing, she defied all odds by returning to professional surfing. She wrote an autobiography, Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family, and Fighting to Get Back on the Board, that was turned into a movie called, Soul Surfer in 2011.
