Costa Rica is making moves to step up the tourism.
The tourism board just announced that Costa Rica will start accepting cruise ships in September. The ships will only allow vaccinated passengers to board.
As of July 2nd, American Airlines increased flights to San Jose (SJO) from Miami.
Also in the works is a Digital Nomads Bill. This one really gets me excited. Once passed, it will allow travelers that work online to stay in the country for a year, with the option of applying for another year. If this bill passes it will be just like granting residency to anyone who works online. It will allow the tourists to drive with their own countries license as well as other benefits.
Fun Fact; More than 270,000 people have arrived in Costa Rica from the United States over the first five months of 2021.
