The famous big-wave surfer Laird Hamilton was in Pavones yesterday surfing at the point. He came over on a boat from Mata Palo. Laird is known for his surfing but he is also a sports model and has appeared on many different shows such as Hell’s Kitchen. He also acted as a stunt double in the James Bond film, Die Another Day and Waterworld.
Also coincidentally, National Geographic has been in Pavones for the past two weeks. Rumor on the street is that they are putting together a documentary. Pretty exciting times here in turkey town.
